Getting Back On Track

Back on track, taylorcares, habits

A little more persistence, a little more effort, and what seemed hopeless failure may turn to glorious success. ~ Elbert Hubbard ~

Nablopomo Writing prompt for Monday, January 5, 2015:
Tell us about your worst habit?

I have a few bad habits but since I have to narrow it down to what I believe to be the ‘worst habit’, I’d say allowing myself to get sidetracked.

I started out yesterday intending to write this post and get it scheduled for today so that I could spend my morning working on some of the other items on the list. Then I zeroed in on the fact that I really couldn’t stand the tiny font that came with my blog theme. Immediately I start searching for a new theme that offered a nice large font. Three hours later I was still tweaking the new theme I selected…

That’s just one example.

This time-sucking habit has caused so many problems in my life and it is one of the main reasons I chose the word Focus as my personal theme for 2015. Actually, I think the word chose me. It kept popping up toward the end of last year whenever I turned my thoughts toward the changes I wanted to make in my life.

Yesterday, I got sidetracked and that’s okay. I don’t expect immediate change.

At this moment, I am on track, focused and feeling pretty darn good about it.
