I’ve come to the conclusion that Love is the only thing in life that really matters.
When it’s all said and done I pray that all of the people I love will know they were loved, deeply.
Not in the obligatory familial sense.
I want to give them more…
Like the lyrics in that wonderful old song by Jackie Wilson;
I want my love to keep lifting them higher and higher than they have ever been lifted before.
I want to master the art of feeling and showing the kind of love God has shown me – unconditional and everlasting. I’m not sure that’s even in the realm of what is possible, but this is what I desire so this is what I shall ask for, pray for and believe with all my heart it shall be done.
My love shall be patient and kind…
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 1 Corinthians 13: 4-7 (NIV)
