Day 26 | The Path Jesus Walked
My little children, I’m writing these things to you so that you don’t sin. But if you do sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous one. He is God’s way of dealing with our sins, not only ours but the sins of the whole world. This is how we know that we know him: if we keep his commandments. The one who claims, “I know him,” while not keeping his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in this person. But the love of God is truly perfected in whoever keeps his word. This is how we know we are in him. The one who claims to remain in him ought to live in the same way as he lived. 1John 2:1-6(CEB)
Jesus is light. As His followers we are called children of light. Our faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ sets us apart. The Bible says we love Him because He first loved us. We were chosen, redeemed and sanctified to be holy and blameless. To walk as Jesus walked in love, in obedience to our Father’s laws and commands.
Christ taught the greatest commandment is to love.
- First, believers are to love the Lord our God with all our hearts, with all our souls, with all our minds and with all our strength.
- Second, we love our neighbors as we love ourselves.
When the love of God is preeminent in your life, pleasing Him becomes a priority and it shows. The love and guidance of the Holy Spirit are manifested in the way you live. For it is the Spirit that gives us the ability to remain obedient.
But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that you should show forth the praises of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. 1Peter 2:9

Spoken in truth from your heart and received gratefully to mine. If I will love others as much as I love me, they will be loved indeed!
