As a man thinketh…

Do you ever take the time to really listen to your thoughts? I mean really zero in on whats flitting in and out of your mind at any given time? The human mind is such an amazing instrument! It can be programmed, deprogrammed, reprogrammed.

The soil that is our minds, is so rich and fertile, that whatever is planted there will take rootwill grow and will produce fruit. That’s not a supposition.That’s a fact. This is the reason we are held accountable for our thoughts.

…bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 2Corinthians 10:5

Everything begins with a thought. Have you ever caught yourself entertaining negativity and wondered how you got there? When the enemy comes, he attacks our minds. That’s where his seeds are planted – Seeds of doubt, seeds of condemnation, lack, frustration, anxiety, fear… You name it, he plants them.  

But I am afraid that your minds might be seduced in the same way as the snake deceived Eve with his devious tricks. You might be unable to focus completely on a genuine and innocent commitment to Christ. 2 Corinthian 11:3

We get to choose the seeds we keep and those that need to be cast out – before they grow.  When negativity seeps in, we have to recognize it for what it is, and get rid of it.

How? By renewing our minds with His Word – Daily.

 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Phillipians 4:8
