I don’t contribute regularly to SOC Sundays even though I enjoy telling myself that I will remember to find out what the prompt is each week… and I haven’t added my two cents to the pot since Jana of Jana’s Thinking Place took over as the SOC host.
Thanks Jana 🙂
One of the things I enjoy most about stream of conciousness writing is the opportunity to intentionally set my mind on autopilot and write the stuff that pops in. Taking it a step further and hitting ‘Publish,’ (especially if you follow the no checking, no correcting, no tweaking rules) is freeing.
Today’s (optional) prompt: Beginnings
Start:
I’ve come to the conclusion that life is a beginning, or rather one long series of beginnings.
Its more than the biggies, you know… the major things like births, deaths, weddings, divorces, jobs, graduations etc. We all begin those phases and chapters,
But I’m beginning to “live on purpose” the time in between the biggies.
Every morning, when I open my eyes, I begin anew. Each day holds it’s own problems and possibilities.
And I have begun to search for those possibilities, to look for the intangibles… like love and beauty, to find joy, to recognize God’s hand guiding me and His voice teaching, scolding, molding and encouraging me along the way.
I am beginning to look for ways to break free, to stretch and grow, to improve and become enormous.
I am beginning to believe I have more power than I realize.
I am beginning to celebrate..
Beginning.

So awesome that you are living life on purpose and trying to recognize the power that you have.

I love the thought of each day being a new beginning. Some mornings I open my eyes and think — I’ve got to do it all over again. But each day is a blessing. Thanks for the reminder. Stopping by from SCS
