Taylor’s Tip | A Friend In Need
To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven. Ecclesiastes 3:1 (KJV)
Anyone who has lived through, or, is currently living through a season of prolonged grief, pain, illness, or misfortune of any kind knows firsthand how fickle and unreliable people you believed in show themselves to be.
As for my friends and my neighbors, they stand aloof from my distress; even my close relatives stand at a distance. Psalms 38:11 (ISV)
At first you’re mildly surprised, then stunned, then angry, then stung because it’s hurts. A lot. You feel foolish for having been a friend to someone who turned out not to be a friend to you. You feel foolish for having believed in and trusted in someone who is as weak and flawed and human as you are.
Then you remember the One who sticks closer than a brother. You remember your Savior, Healer, Comforter Friend.
As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you. Joshua 1:5

Taylor, this is such a nice post and holds so much truth to it. Having just gone through a difficult trial, I can relate to the words. 🙂
Blessings to you,
