On January 15, 2011, I purchased my domain, set up this little blog and published my first post on Feb 7, 2011. I’m not sure how blog anniversary dates are supposed to work but I use the first post date, so 2/7/17 will be 6 years, which is a super long time in blog years.
I was in recovery mode through most of the year in 2010. After having endured several catastrophic events, I was emotionally and spiritually wounded. The light was there of course, but I was in such bad shape that I couldn’t see it. From my perspective, the best course of action was inaction – just give up and let the darkness take me. But…
I’m still here by the Grace of God. His love and care sustained me and kept me going.
And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper [Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor – Counselor, Strengthener, Standby] to be with you forever. John 14:16 (AMP)
Comforted, strengthened, and encouraged by Spirit, I started writing again.
First in my journals, then online. That’s how Taylor Cares came to be. I dedicated this blog as the place to share the things I cared about. What I cared about most at that time was healing; figuring out what I needed to do to learn, or change to affect a healed mind and spirit. Then teaching as many people as I could how to do the same for themselves.
I was passionate about sharing my observations and lessons as I learned them in the hope that my words might help. I knew I wasn’t the only one who needed it.

Since our gifts vary depending on the grace poured out on each of us, it is important that we exercise the gifts we have been given… ~ Romans 12:6
I’m Grateful…
Because I am convinced that writing this blog accelerated the healing process, which in turn opened doors to experiences and opportunities that I would never have imagined when I began. I’ve learned and grown so much. Now I am building a business serving and helping others heal and grow. I’m doing work that doesn’t feel like work, because I love it so much. I’ve met some wonderful people, both online and in person who’ve inspired, mentored, encouraged and taught me. I can’t thank them enough.
I’m Excited…
And looking forward to the next chapter. I will be taking a few courses to expand my knowledge in the areas of coaching and healing. And I’ll be adding some new topics of interest here as well.Â
I’m Hopeful…
I pray you will like the changes I’m making around here and that my posts will inspire and/or help you in some way.
