The fact that we experience times when our faith seems to be slipping away comes as no surprise to our Father. He always knows what we need, when we need it and even though we don’t always realize it, He has already given it to us. Everything we need to get us through the difficult seasons in our lives can be found in the scriptures.
Reflecting (meditating) on His Word will renew your hope and provide nourishment to a hungry spirit. You can start with these verses and if you have a few favorite verses, read them as well. Before you begin, ask the Holy Spirit to help you understand the mysteries hidden in the words; to help you strengthen your faith.
I recommend reading them out loud whenever you can, so you can hear the words because “Faith cometh by hearing.”

Now, this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him. 1 John 5:14-15
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and depart from evil. It will be health to your flesh, And strength to your bones. Proverbs 3:5-8
What I want from you is your true thanks; I want your promises fulfilled. I want you to trust me in your times of trouble, so I can rescue you and you can give me glory. Psalm 50:14-15 (TLB)
