Day 10 | Let Your Light Shine

Day 10, Forty Days with God, Ephesians 1:15-19

Things have calmed down in my life, so I’m getting back on track with my 40 day postings. Hopefully there will be no further interruptions. 🙂

In this letter to the Ephesians, Paul tells them when he heard of their faith in Christ and the love they demonstrate toward all people, he thanked God for them and he continues to thank the Lord and pray for them daily, asking God to increase their knowledge and further enlighten them by opening the eyes of their hearts that they may see the hope of God’s call, the richness of His inheritance and the greatness of the power that is working among believers.

In Romans 12:2, we are taught to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. This transformation can only be brought by the Holy Spirit increasing the “Christ knowledge” within us. We continually grow in knowledge of God’s mysteries and in light from His love through the Spirit.

We should pray always for ourselves and others to continually be renewed and refreshed and enlightened in the love of Christ that we may be lights in this world. My life, should should be a reflection of Christ’s Spirit at work in and through me.
