One Word for 2015: FOCUS

Gratitude

I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:14

Nablopomo Writing Prompt for Thursday, January 1, 2015:

What are your resolutions for the new year? Tell us how you picked them.

I did not make any resolutions for the New Year. Actually, I never make resolutions because I’ve never had much success keeping them. I am however, in the practice of taking a hard look at my life in terms of where I am and the direction I’d like to take.

After giving it a lot of thought I have come to the conclusion that my life has become so scattered and messy because my thoughts and habits are scattered and messy. I want need to develop the ability to focus. So I have chosen Focus as my One Word 365.

In 2015 I will intentionally focus on:

– deepening my relationship with God.

– finding ways to show the love I feel toward family and friends.

– developing as a writer and blogger.

– paying attention.

– listening.

– growing my on-line presence.

Today I begin by focusing on gratitude.

I thank God for walking me through a very difficult 2014

and delivering me intact and hopeful to a brand new year.

I am grateful for all of the blessings He pours into my life daily

and for the knowledge that every day is a miracle

filled with promise and possibilities.

Thank You Lord for loving me so much.

May The Lord Jesus Christ Keep You Always – in ALL Ways.
